TPH Further Expands the Educational Curriculum at its Centers of Excellence

Educational Partner, Edmentum, Recently Acquired Apex Learning to Broaden its Curriculum

TPH’s award-winning educational partner, Edmentum, has finalized its acquisition of Apex Learning. By combining the two platforms, Edmentum further strengthens its curriculum to address the unique needs of students and families in its Center of Excellence (CoE) hybrid learning environments, where student-athletes Study, Train, Play to their fullest potential.

“We are very excited about our educational partner, Edmentum, acquiring APEX Learning. APEX brings a long history of offering a broad selection of Advanced Placement courses,” said TPH Chief Academic Officer Bill Simms. “This expanded library will enable our student-athletes to participate in a wide range of rigorous courses designed to prepare them for college success. We look forward to delivering an even richer assortment of course selections than ever before.”

Across the nation, TPH CoE academies provide a completely individualized, customized, NCAA-accredited blended learning experience for all its student-athletes. The CoE hybrid learning environment combines an online curriculum with on-site infrastructure and academic support. Academic leaders are on-site and work with students to ensure a positive learning environment, accountability, a personalized structure, and accelerated learning programs, as they train for their sport.

With the new acquisition, TPH will be able to deepen and expand virtual and blended learning opportunities in classrooms, with additional offerings designed specifically for elite athletes. CoE student-athletes will now have expanded access to approved state and nationally certified course offerings, larger AP selections, electives, and a richer flexible learning model.

“This dramatically expands our AP course offerings and will continue to help build successful academic plans for each student-athlete,” said TPH CEO Nathan Bowen. “With these newly approved courses, our students will be able to continue to sharpen their writing skills, teach them how to think critically, improve their problem-solving abilities, and prepare them for their future educational journey.”

TPH is excited to celebrate our leaders and experts that continue to power education into the future for our elite student-athletes. To learn more about our Center of Excellence academy model, click here.
