About Our program
Our program is available to student-athletes in grades 6-12 who are looking to take control of their development. Working with Edmentum Academics, we create a fully customized, NCAA-accredited online academic experience for students. Students not only advance their education but learn organization and study skills, and how to adapt their own learning style.
Our academic platform allows our student-athletes the flexibility to learn at their own pace, while amplifying the amount of support and resources available. In St. Louis, our student-athletes spend approximately 20 hours per week dedicated to academics. The classes are all taught by State Certified Teachers virtually through the Edmentum platform. On-site our student-athletes are supported by our Director of Academics, our success coaches, and Edmentum’s virtual tutors. Families have the option to enroll in the private, online school, EdOptions Academy, OR remain enrolled in their local public school district and receive Edmentum course credit through the Missouri Course Access Program (MOCAP).
The Edmentum course library provides our student-athletes with access to take NCAA Approved Core classes, AP Level courses, and over 200 possible electives which include foreign languages, arts, and more. Our academic platform is Cognia accredited and all graduating student-athletes will receive their diplomas through their respective enrollment selections (private, EdOptions Academy or local public school).
At the TPH Center of Excellence our student-athletes Study, Train and Play every day. On a weekly basis our student-athletes have a minimum of 20 hours of dedicated on-site academic time and 10 hours of sport-specific training.
Days typically start with video sessions that pertain to that day's skill focus followed by dynamic warm-ups and then training. In addition to a dedicated lunch time, student-athletes have designated breaks for healthy snacking.
When it comes to academics, our student-athletes have the ability to utilize our campus to be comfortable as they learn. Our campus offers traditional desks, a more casual cafe style couch area that many utilize during study time or for reading, and high-top tables that student-athletes may use as change of scenery or a standing desk. Most importantly our on-site staff is always nearby to provide support.
The first step in attending the TPH Center of Excellence St. Louis is to apply. Following the completion of the application, accepted applicants will be contacted by our team to start the enrollment process.
Application Fee: $95 (Accepting applications year round)
2021-22 Full Tuition: $15,950

Frequently Asked Questions
The TPH Center of Excellence is NOT a team. We are a school that allows you to focus on your individual skills. Additionally, you can still play for your current team. This makes for an awesome training environment where our student-athletes get to build a community with like-minded student-athletes.
At the TPH Center of Excellence our student-athletes benefit from multiple layers of support. At the foundation is their TPH-focused Edmentum teachers, students have access to virtual tutors 24/7, and our Center of Excellence has a Director of Academics and Success Coach(es) on-site every day to ensure student-athletes stay on task, help them find the resources they need, and help cultivate an environment conducive to learning
We start everyday with a warm-up before any training. Our student-athletes work with Mercy Sports Performance powered by EXOS at minimum three days a week. DID YOU KNOW: student-athletes can receive physical education credit for the training.
Student Athletes are more than welcome to bring their own lunch from home. Students also have a hot lunch athlete friendly option through the Centene Food and Beverage staff.
This is one of the primary benefits of the TPH Center of Excellence. Traditional schooling is not conducive to the lifestyle of the aspiring elite student-athlete. We are very flexible with our attendance policy because we do understand the travel that sports require and the toll that a season can take on a student-athlete. The beauty of our platform is that we can operate virtually. Need a recovery day? Stay home, you can do you course work from home, our staff can additionally send you a home workout. The biggest factor is that we believe our student-athletes get the most out of their experience by attending on-site, but we understand that may not always be possible.
The goal of our mentorship program is to educate our student-athletes on “the process” of becoming elite. Part of that is through the mentorship program which includes Coach FA's Mentorship Program, community service, field trips, and guest speakers.
We believe the TPH Center of Excellence provides more balance than traditional school. Our student-athletes finish a day at the Center of Excellence, attend their club's practice, and then are free the rest of the day. We believe our platform gives our student-athletes more time to spend as they wish away from the Center of Excellence. Additionally we require our student-athletes to fill out daily surveys through Kinduct that help our staff understand the holistic state of our student-athletes. These surveys track sleep, nutrition, injuries, and more to assist us in ensuring we know how to balance their workload.
The TPH Center of Excellence can provide support for IEP's and 504's. We have built our centers with learning environments that help all types of learners and set up our student-athletes for success. However, students will have to complete a determination meeting with our education partner to ensure we can meet all the needs of the student.
